Over 200 years ago, two immortals, Lin Zhaowen and Chen Qiongzhi, arrived in Dahu and praised the tranquil environment, calling it the perfect paradise described in "Peach Blossom Spring." They chose to reside here in seclusion, building humble shelters and practicing their spiritual journey. They also referenced the "Ten Monuments of Songshan" from the Tang Dynasty to further highlight the beauty of Dahu, leaving behind numerous poems and inscriptions around the Peach Blossom Cave.
More than two centuries later, the Dahu area remains simple and serene. The owner of the campsite is an elderly tea farmer who loves his hometown and wishes to share the beauty of this "Jia" countryside with others. Over nearly five years, he developed the "Alishan Cottage" camping site, connecting with visitors and sharing the local landscapes.

Alishan Cottage is located at the foothills of Dahu Peak, a branch of the Alishan Mountain Range, at an elevation of 850 meters. It is backed by the small Baixue Mountain and Dahu Peak to the north, surrounded by mountains on three sides, with an open and unobstructed view to the south. As a result, it is not affected by typhoons in the summer and experiences mild winters with minimal rainfall, making it a true "warm in winter, cool in summer" destination.
